Job Overview:
We are looking to add a CNC Machinist to our team. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and perks. Candidate must be able to work days and afternoons (rotating shifts). Steady night shift is a possibility.
Duties:
Set up and operate CNC machines to perform machining operations
Read and interpret CAD models
Program CNC machines using the latest Autodesk PowerMill
Monitor machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining
Perform routine maintenance on machines, such as cleaning and lubricating
Inspect completed work to ensure conformance to specifications
Operate other CNC machines as requested
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a CNC Machinist an asset
Experience with PowerMill an asset
Knowledge of CNC programming and operation on Heidenhain controls
Familiarity with machining techniques
Experience with forklift operation and overhead crane an asset
