Our client in Georgetown, ON is currently seeking a Sanitation Worker for their weekend shift.
In this role, you will help maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary workplace throughout a busy food production and distribution facility. This is an excellent prospect for reliable, hardworking individuals with a solid work ethic. Previous sanitation or industrial cleaning experience is an asset, and there may be opportunities for advancement within the company.
Location: Georgetown, ON (Guelph Street & Armstrong Avenue)
Shift: Saturday & Sunday 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Responsibilities:
Clean and sanitize common areas, including lunchrooms, washrooms, change rooms, stairways, and other high-touch surfaces.
Follow the facility's master cleaning schedule.
Clean production equipment with support from the Baking and Packing departments.
Sanitize production lines during non-allergen product changeovers.
Maintain cleanliness throughout the warehouse,
including walkways and general work areas.
Assist in keeping the exterior grounds clean and free of litter.
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
Qualifications:
Previous sanitation, janitorial, industrial cleaning, or maintenance experience is preferred.
Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Able to lift up to 30 lbs.
Comfortable walking approximately 8,000–10,000 steps per shift.
Comfortable working in a warm production environment.
Reliable transportation is required (the site is also accessible by GO Bus).
