Responsibilities
Direct vehicular and pedestrian traffic around active construction zones using clear hand signals, signs, and barriers
Set up and maintain traffic control devices such as cones, barricades, flagging stations, and warning signs to ensure visibility and safety
Communicate effectively with construction crews, drivers, and pedestrians to coordinate protected passage and prevent accidents
Monitor the site continuously for potential hazards or unsafe behaviors, taking immediate corrective actions when necessary
Assist in the installation and removal of temporary traffic control measures in accordance with project schedules and safety standards




Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a secure work environment for everyone on-site
Report any incidents or unsafe conditions to supervisors promptly for swift resolution

Experience
Prior experience in traffic control, construction, or related roles is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidates
Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is a plus, demonstrating versatility in supporting construction activities
Knowledge of paving operations or general construction processes is advantageous but not required
Ability to stand for extended periods and work outdoors in various weather conditions is essential
Robust communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members and the public
