Martel Tree Service is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Arborist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of tree care and removal services while maintaining high safety standards and providing excellent service to clients. This role requires physical stamina, teamwork, and a positive attitude. Certification and specialized equipment experience are considered solid assets.

Duties & Responsibilities
Safely operate power saws and tree care equipment in accordance with workplace safety regulations.
Perform tree pruning, removals, and general arboriculture duties.
Haul brush, logs, and debris from job sites.
Feed and assist with wood chippers safely and efficiently.
Operate grapple trucks and stump grinders as required.
Climb trees when necessary (an asset).
Work effectively as part of a team to complete projects efficiently.
Maintain a professional, good-tempered attitude at all times.
Communicate professionally with clients and the public on job sites.




Follow company policies, safety procedures, and industry best practices.

Skills
Previous experience in arboriculture or related field preferred.
Air brake endorsement on a valid driver’s license is an asset and will be required as soon as possible after employment.
ISA Certification is a significant asset.
Solid awareness of workplace safety and hazard prevention.
Physically fit and able to perform demanding outdoor work in various weather conditions.
Ability to work well in a team setting.
Strong work ethic, reliability, and professionalism.
Good communication and public relations skills.
Willingness to learn and grow within the company.
