We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Cashier to join our team. The Cashier will be responsible for processing transactions accurately and efficiently while providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
Greet customers as they enter the store
Scan goods and ensure pricing is accurate
Accept payments in cash, credit, or check
Issue receipts, refunds, change, or tickets
Redeem coupons and stamps
Maintain a clean and tidy checkout area
Keep reports of transactions
Upsell products and services
Resolve customer complaints in a qualified manner
Cleaning and fronting shelves
General cleaning
Must be able to give change without the assistance of a device/calculator/till
Qualifications:
Proven work experience as a Cashier or in a similar role
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Basic math skills
Ability to handle transactions accurately and responsibly
Proficient in using POS terminals
Time management skills
Preferred Skills:
Technical sales knowledge
Experience with upselling techniques
Excellent customer service skills
Multilingual abilities
Proficient phone etiquette
Previous experience in retail sales
Familiarity with cashiering procedures
Familiarity with Lottery
Fluency in English
The position available is for Saturday, Sunday and Stat Holidays 9am to 5pm
Job Type: Part time
Pay: $16.00-$20.00 per hour
