We are looking for a dependable, hardworking Yard Labourer to join our scrap yard team. This is a physically demanding, hands-on position that requires working outdoors in all weather conditions. If you enjoy active work and being part of a team, we'd like to hear from you!
Duties
Perform various physical duties as assigned
Must be able to lift of 50 pounds and be walking/ standing for the duration of the day
Remain focused and aware in a quick paced setting with attention to detail to ensure safety standards are met
Maintain a clean, organized yard and shop
Conduct regular inspections of yard equipment and report any maintenance needs or safety concerns
Collaborate with owner to track inventory movements within the yard.
Mechanical knowledge or experience operating/ exposure of heavy equipment
Automotive Scrap Yard experience or familiarity is a plus
Robust physical stamina with the ability to stand, walk, lift, and perform manual tasks for extended periods
Dependability is a MUST
Must have reliable form of transportation
