DC Painting & Services is a Toronto-based painting and renovation company working across the GTA. Interior and exterior repaints, cabinet work, condo and commercial jobs, and new construction. Owner-operated, so you deal with me directly and not a dispatcher.

About this role

Subcontract painting work paid at a daily or hourly rate. Jobs range from a single day to several weeks, with steady work for people who do valuable work and show up.

The work
Surface prep: sanding, filling, caulking, masking
Cutting and rolling walls and ceilings
Airless spray on walls, ceilings, doors and trim
Brushing baseboard, casing, doors and stairs
Cabinet and fine finish work on some jobs
Protecting and cleaning the site

What you need
2+ years skilled painting experience
Registered business and a current WSIB clearance certificate (required, no exceptions on GC sites)
Able to lift 50 lbs and work off ladders and staging
Able to get to job sites across the GTA
Reliable. If you say you're coming, come.





Nice to have
Your own vehicle
Your own hand tools (I supply sprayers, ladders, staging and material either way)
Working at Heights certification. If you don't have it, I'll cover the course.
New construction or multi-unit experience
Cabinet spraying
Your own liability insurance

Pay

$25 to $35 an hour depending on experience, or a day rate we agree up front. Paid weekly by e-transfer against a straightforward invoice.

You're responsible for your own taxes and WSIB.
