Join Algonquin College as a Part time Professor to lead the Plumbing Apprenticeship Program. Deliver engaging instruction while promoting a positive academic experience for students.
Your main responsibility will be teaching courses that equip students with essential skills in plumbing and mechanical techniques. You will engage with students by providing academic advising, facilitating constructive learning sessions, and continuously evaluating student performance.
Collaboration with faculty and industry stakeholders is vital to maintain and enhance the curriculum effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Teach and assess courses in plumbing and mechanical trades
Update and revise syllabi for current industry relevance
Actively support students' academic growth
Utilize technology in course delivery
Contribute to departmental meetings and initiatives
Requirements:
Valid 306A Red Seal Plumber license
At least 5 years in the plumbing field
Teaching experience in postsecondary preferred
Understanding of course development
Passion for student success and engagement
