Safety, Health & Environment (HSE) ManagerCornwall, ON (Open to candidates who are willing to relocate at their own expense)Full-Time | Permanent | On-SiteAbout the OpportunityWe're partnering with a well-established manufacturing organization to find a driven and experienced Safety, Health & Environment (HSE) Manager to join their leadership team. This is a high-impact, hands-on role for a safety professional who thrives in a fast-paced workplace and wants to make a real difference and not just check boxes.The RoleReporting to the Vice President of Operations, you'll take the lead on all Safety, Health, and Environmental programs Canada and US facility. You'll sit at the corporate management level, which means your work will be seen, valued, and felt across the entire organization.Key ResponsibilitiesLead SHE compliance across Canadian operations and provide program support to a U.S. locationMonitor regulatory changes and advise leadership on operational impactsOversee industrial hygiene monitoring, hazard communication, radiation safety, and incident investigationsDevelop and refine safety programs aimed at reducing injury ratesServe as management representative on the Joint Health and Safety CommitteePrepare and submit quarterly and annual environmental reports to NPRI, MOE, MISA, and other regulatory bodiesManage environmental controls under MISA and CEPA; conduct internal auditsOversee weekly water sampling and submission for analysisLiaise with external agencies including MOL, WSIB, OSHA, and HSEManage all WSIB claims, including leading appeal hearingsDeliver training and communications on WHMIS,



First Aid, Fire Plan, Fall Arrest, and Lockout TagoutReview incident trend data, identify risk areas, and drive corrective action plansCoach and mentor supervisors and staff on SHE best practicesProvide regular performance reporting and recommendations to senior leadershipCoordinate facility audits and establish audit standardsRequired Skills and Experience:Bachelor's degree, preferably in Occupational Health and SafetyCRSP and/or CHSC designation7 to 10 years of leadership experience in Health and Safety, within a manufacturing environment is a mustUnionized environment experience is a mustStrong working knowledge of Canadian health and safety legislation; U.S. knowledge is a plusExcellent communication, facilitation, and training skillsAnalytical mindset with a proven ability to design and implement effective SHE programsWSIB claims management experience is an assetWhat's in It for YouA collaborative team that values your expertise and inputOpportunity to lead meaningful safety and sustainability initiatives with cross-border reachA visible, influential role with real organizational impactComprehensive benefits package including dental, vision, extended health care, disability and life insurance, EAP, RRSP match, paid time off, and on-site parkingCasual, people-first culture with company events and a supportive work environmentWe thank all applicants for their interest.
