Can-Ex Technologies is redefining how sewer and underground infrastructure inspections are performed. Through a tightly integrated stack of advanced hardware, embedded systems, edgecomputing, and SaaS, we enable municipalities, contractors, and engineers to collect higher-quality inspection datafaster, morereliably, and at scale. We are now strengthening the electronics foundation of our product line. This role is a founding opportunity toarchitectand own the electronicsystems thatpowerour next generation of inspection devices. The RoleAs a Senior Electronics Designer, you will own the full electronics lifecycle of our productsfromarchitecture andcomponentselectiontoPCBdesign, validation, production release, and field performance monitoring. You will design robust, production-gradeelectronics thatoperatein harsh real-world environments. Your work will directlyimpactdevice reliability, manufacturability, scalability, and long-termproduct viability. You will collaborate closely with embedded software, mechanical engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and product teams to ensure seamless integration from prototype to production at scale. If you enjoy seeing a board go from concept to a shipped device used daily in the field, this role is for you. This is not a layout-only role. This is end-to-end hardware ownership. This role will influence our long-term hardware architecture as we scale our device fleet globally.WhatYou’llDoArchitect electronic systems for embedded edge devicesOwn the full electronics development lifecycle: architecture, componentselection, schematic capture, PCB layout, validation,

and production releaseDesign multilayer PCBs for embedded systems, including power management, high-speed interfaces, communication buses, and sensor integrationSelect andvalidatekey components (MCUs, SoCs, PMICs, sensors, connectors, cables, protection circuits) with cost, performance, and long-term availability in mindDesign robust power architectures (battery systems, charging circuits, regulation, protection)Ensure signal integrity and EMC/EMI robustness for real-world deploymentDefine and execute board bring-up, debugging, validation, and environmental testing protocolsDrive DFM/DFT improvements and prepare production documentation (BOM, manufacturing files, test procedures)Work directly with PCB manufacturers and EMS partners to support production ramp-up and resolve manufacturing issuesSupport hardware iterations based on field feedback and failure analysisWho You AreA systems thinker who understands electronics as part of acomplete device ecosystemComfortable owning hardwarefrom blank page to deployed fleetDetail-oriented and rigorous in validation and testingPragmatic in design choices—balancing performance, cost, availability, and manufacturabilityStrong collaborator across embedded, mechanical,

andmanufacturingteamsEnergized by building foundational hardware in a scalingcompanyNot afraid to make decisions with long-term consequences—and stand behind themRequirementsBachelor’s degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field. Or equivalent experience5+ yearsof experience in electronic hardware design and PCB developmentStrong experience with schematic capture and PCB layout tools (Altium,KiCad, or equivalent)Solid understanding of power electronics, analog and digital circuit designExperience with high-speed interfaces (USB, Ethernet, CSI, SPI, I2C, UART, etc.)Experience with embedded processors or SoCs (e.G., NVIDIA Jetson, ARM-based platforms, or similar)Hands-on experience with PCB bring-up, lab debugging (oscilloscope, logic analyzer, power analysis tools)Experience preparing boards formanufacturingand working with EMS partnersKnowledge of EMC/EMI considerations and product validation best practicesExperience leading at least one hardware product from concept to productionWhy Join Us?Founding impact – You will define the electronics backbone of our product lineReal-world hardware – Your boards will ship andoperatedaily in the fieldTechnical depth – Work across electronics, embedded systems, mechanical integration, and edge AIGrowth – Be part of a rapid-scalingcompany solvingreal infrastructure challengesAutonomy & trust – You own the hardware decisions, not just execute tasksStrong product culture – High standards, clear ownership, meaningful impact#J-18808-Ljbffr
