Become a Utility Serviceperson with the Town of Oakville’s Transit Department, contributing to fleet maintenance and cleanliness. This part time role involves wide-ranging shifts including weekends and evenings.

Reporting directly to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will engage in multiple tasks including cleaning bus interiors and exteriors, refueling, and maintaining equipment for optimal performance. Candidates should demonstrate a valid driver’s license and possess productive mechanical skills necessary for the role.

Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain cleanliness of buses using various devices
• Get the Transit fleet ready for next shifts
• Handle cash revenues and data download accurately




• Perform general cleanup and recycling duties
• Pick up necessary parts and transport buses as needed

Requirements:
• Minimum of High School education or equivalent
• Class A, B, or C Ontario driver’s license with Z endorsement
• Basic mechanical knowledge is preferred
• Resourceful, with an ability to work with little supervision
• Forklift certification needed, must be obtained if not already held
