Robert Half Management Resources is looking for an experienced Controller to join a well-respected organization in Ottawa, Ontario.

This position is suited to a finance specialist who can provide solid leadership, improve accounting operations, and support accurate, timely financial reporting.

The successful candidate will bring a practical approach to strengthening controls, guiding staff, and keeping core finance processes running smoothly.

Responsibilities: Lead daily accounting operations and provide direction to finance staff to ensure work is completed accurately and on schedule.

Review existing financial processes and introduce improvements that increase efficiency, consistency, and control across accounting activities.

Oversee month-end and year-end close procedures, ensuring reconciliations, journal entries,



and reporting are finalized within required timelines Manage payroll-related financial processes and confirm that associated records and payments are processed correctly Prepare budgets, monitor financial results against plans, and deliver analysis to support business decision-making Produce regular and ad hoc financial reports using available accounting systems and reporting tools, including support for management requests Maintain and strengthen internal controls, accounting procedures, and documentation to support compliance and sound financial management Work with accounting software platforms and related business systems to support reporting accuracy and effective financial operations
