Ndinawemaaganag Endaawaad Inc. is hiring a Youth Support Worker to champion the needs of Indigenous youth. Offering mentorship and support, this full time role includes overnight shifts.
In this impactful position, you will engage with young people, helping them navigate challenges through trauma-informed care and mentoring. Your responsibilities will include providing a safe workplace, collaborating with colleagues, and ensuring all necessary documentation is maintained accurately.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise and engage with youth effectively
• Provide mentorship and support for independent living
• Advocate for youth by offering resources and referrals
• Maintain a clean and secure working environment
• Document all interactions and incidents accurately
Requirements:
• Education in Child and Youth Care or related field
• Experience with Indigenous communities
• Understanding of trauma-informed approaches
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and CPR/First Aid certified
