Job postingRestoration TechnicianAbout the roleYou are the first crew on site after a loss. Fire, water damage, sewer backup, vandalism: your job is to stabilize the situation, prevent further damage and get the building ready for reconstruction.This is hands-on, physical work. Every call is different and you see the results of your work by the end of the day. No restoration experience is required — we train our technicians in-house.Key responsibilitiesEmergency response:Respond quickly to loss sites and secure the premisesPerform water extraction and set up drying equipment (dehumidifiers, air movers)Take moisture readings and monitor the drying process dailyBoard up and provide temporary protection for the buildingCarry out demolition and removal of non-salvageable materialsCleaning and restoration:Perform post-loss cleaning: soot, smoke, odours and mouldApply decontamination procedures based on the type of lossPack out, inventory and move the policyholder's contentsOperate and maintain specialized equipmentDocumentation and reporting:Take before, during and after photos on every jobComplete work orders and daily time sheetsKeep the project manager updated on job progressWhat we are looking forNo restoration experience required — full training provided in-houseExperience in construction, renovation, maintenance or cleaning is an assetGood physical condition (standing work, lifting,
