Location : Lindsay Recreation Complex
Hours : Normal Working Hours up to 24 hours per week, includes days, evenings and weekends
Other : General office environment. Some travel throughout the City of Kawartha Lakes may be necessary in accordance with job requirements.
Job Description
- Prepare and conduct fitness classes
- Set up/take down of equipment as required to conduct classes
- Maintain accurate attendance records
- Complete pertinent forms
- Attend staff meetings
- Promote division health and wellness programs
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Skills/Education Required
- Minimum Can-Fit-Pro FIS current certification
- Experience instructing a variety of “styles” of fitness classes (step, hi/low, muscle conditioning, stretch/relaxation, cycle etc.)
- Previous experience in recreation and/or fitness setting
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR
- Demonstrated customer service, interpersonal and leadership skills
- For skills specific trainers, specific certifications are required
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office, the internet and other related software
Upon a conditional offer of employment, a Criminal Record Check, including a Vulnerable Sector Search, will be required
