As a vital member of the Cancer Care Registry & Analytics team, your duties will include the classification of tumors and comprehensive data handling for cancer cases in Nova Scotia. You’ll utilize your analytical skills and knowledge of computerized health systems to support cancer surveillance and epidemiological research. Your expertise will help establish productive cancer control management strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Stage primary tumors using AJCC and ICD-O-3 standards • Conduct thorough reviews of clinical and pathology data • Create datasets for surveillance and quality control initiatives • Collect patient information for the Cancer Registry Information System • Analyze health data to inform decision-making
Requirements: • Graduate from a health information management program • Minimum of two years in a Cancer Care setting • Understanding of health information legislation • Proficient in the use of MS Office applications • Fluency in French is an asset
