Manage comprehensive security operations at Seaspan Shipyards in Victoria as a Security Assistant. Focus on clearance applications and employee security requirements in this on-site role.

As a Security Assistant, you will oversee the federal government’s Contract Security Program and ensure timely processing of security clearances for employees. This role requires managing identification badges and ensuring compliance with Controlled Goods regulations. You'll play a vital part in maintaining accurate databases and conducting security assessments.

Key Responsibilities: • Coordinate and manage all clearance application processes • Assess controlled goods security clearance applications • Deliver weekly and monthly security reports to DND • Maintain databases and photo identification supplies • Train staff on security policies and procedures

Requirements: • Post-secondary education preferred • Minimum of 2 years in an office setting • Solid verbal and written communication skills • Demonstrated organizational and analytical abilities • Capable of obtaining NATO Secret clearance
