Own your direction, own your development, and own your path.What you'll doAs the Quality Officer Lead, you will be responsible for owning and continuously improving the facility's Quality Control (QC) program. Acting as the Quality Assurance lead for QC systems, you will ensure that sampling, testing, environmental monitoring, verification activities, and laboratory programs are effective, risk-based, and compliant with regulatory and certification requirements. Working closely with Operations, Production, Supply Chain, QC personnel, and external laboratory partners, you will identify quality risks, analyze data trends, support investigations and corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. You will also play a key role in supporting audits, maintaining documentation, strengthening feed safety programs, and serving as the site subject matter expert for quality control and program management.Who we're looking forWe're looking for a quality-focused professional who thrives on continuous improvement and has a passion for feed safety, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence. This role is ideal for someone who wants to make a meaningful impact on product quality and feed safety while working in a collaborative and supportive environment.You'll also needPost-secondary education in Food Science, Agriculture, Animal Science, Microbiology, Quality Assurance, or a related fieldMinimum 3 years of experience in food, feed, pet food, agriculture, or manufacturing environmentsExperience maintaining and improving HACCP, GMP, feed safety, and quality management systemsKnowledge of regulatory and certification requirements, including CFIA, HACCP, FeedAssure, and FSSC 22000 (considered an asset)Experience conducting investigations, root cause analysis, risk assessments, trend analysis, and continuous improvement initiativesStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisionsExcellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly ExcelAbility to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teamsDemonstrated ability to influence positive change through process improvement and technical leadershipComprehensive knowledge of quality assurance frameworks, industry best practices, regulatory standards, and quality management methodologiesExperience supporting audits, inspections, permit renewals, regulatory compliance activities,
