The Grade 8 Teacher supports students’ academic, social, emotional, and cultural development by delivering instruction aligned with Saskatchewan curriculum outcomes. The Grade 8 Teacher contributes to a safe, inclusive, and culturally respectful learning setting that promotes student well-being and success.
Key Responsibilities
The Teacher shall:
- Plan and deliver instruction aligned with Saskatchewan curriculum outcomes
- Integrate traditional ways of knowing
- Develop and implement lesson plans that reflect diverse learning styles and needs
- Assess, evaluate, and document student learning using a variety of methods
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records and reporting
- Support the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
- Create a positive classroom environment that supports engagement and learning
- Work collaboratively with Educational Assistants, specialists, and school staff
- Integrate culturally relevant and inclusive practices where appropriate
- Support student attendance, engagement, and overall well-being

Qualifications
- Bachelor of Education
- Valid Saskatchewan Teaching Certificate
- Clean Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check
- First Aid/CPR certification (asset)
- Clean Driver license/abstract (asset)
