About the Position

We are seeking an organized, dependable, and detail-oriented Shipping & Logistics Assistant to join our team.

This position will provide support for our international lobster shipping and logistics operations. The successful candidate will work closely with an experienced member of our team and receive hands-on training in shipping documentation, export requirements, freight coordination, and the day-to-day logistics involved in shipping live lobster internationally.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist with preparing and processing documentation required for international lobster shipments
- Coordinate shipping details with freight forwarders, carriers, customers, and other logistics partners
- Assist with ensuring shipping documentation is accurate, complete, and submitted within required timelines
- Track shipments and communicate updates or changes to the appropriate parties
- Assist with coordinating shipment schedules and logistics
- Maintain organized records of shipping documentation and related correspondence
- Learn and follow established company procedures and export requirements
- Assist with general office and administrative duties as required
- Work collaboratively with other members of the office and operations teams

Experience Experience in any of the following areas would be considered an asset:

- Shipping or logistics
- International trade or export documentation
- Freight forwarding
- Transportation coordination
- Seafood or food industry
- Office administration
- Customer service
- Accounting or other detail-oriented administrative roles

Previous experience in international shipping is not required. Comprehensive training will be provided to the successful candidate.

Work Schedule

Our business involves the shipment of live lobster and other time-sensitive products, and shipping schedules can vary.

The successful candidate must be willing to work occasional early mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays when required to accommodate shipment schedules and time-sensitive documentation.
