Retail Consultant – New Supplement Store Opening About the Role We're opening a new supplement retail store and looking for an experienced consultant to guide the setup — possibly run day-to-day operations, and to bring hands-on retail expertise to make sure we launch the right way. This is a project-based engagement focused on planning, setup, and launch support, with the possibility of ongoing advisory work afterward. What You'll Do Advise on store layout and merchandising to maximize sales and customer flow Recommend an initial product assortment and help identify/vet vendors and distributors Guide POS and inventory system selection and setup Advise on hiring plan and job descriptions for store staff (without managing them directly) Provide input on pricing strategy and competitive positioning Recommend local launch/marketing approach for opening Share best practices on compliance, health/safety,



and retail regulations specific to the supplement category Review and advise on standard operating procedures before handoff to store management Available for ad hoc questions/troubleshooting during the pre-launch and launch period What We're Looking For Experience in supplement, sports nutrition, or health food retail, ideally in a management or ownership role Direct experience with store openings/setup, not just ongoing operations Strong knowledge of supplement/sports nutrition product lines and ven les and timelines Good communication skills — you'll be advising rather than managing, so being clear and practical matters Prior consulting experience is an asset but not required What We Offer Competitive project-based fee (flat rate or hourly, negotiable) Versatile engagement — scoped to the pre-opening and launch period Potential for ongoing advisory relationship as we expand to future locations How to Apply Please send your resume or a brief summary of relevant experience, along with your rate expectations, to [email protected]
