Environmental education, TeachingPosition: Environmental EducatorOrganization: Langley Environmental Partners SocietyLocation: Langley, Metro Vancouver BCDescriptionLangley Environmental Partners Society (LEPS) is a non-profit, partnership-driven organization formed in 1993 to protect and restore the natural environment through education, cooperation and action.We are currently seeking one full time Environmental Educator to work as part of the Education Team, assisting with the delivery of environmental education programs, reporting to the Executive Director.Duties Will IncludeEnvironmental Education programCommunicate with schools, schedule education programs and direct support staff; Deliver presentations to school and community groups in classrooms and outdoors; Facilitate community sustainability initiatives; Assist with theexhibition of interactive displays at community events; Host Career development training for educators; Assist with developing new education program materials; Manage education program budget and reporting on program outcomes.Summer Childrens Day CampsDevelop and deliver established kids' outdoor education programs at the Langley Demonstration Garden, including creating lesson plans, teaching,



and leading educational activities and craft components; QualificationsEducation: University degree in education, environment or related field, or equivalent combination of experience.Experience: Minimum 2 years direct experience in teaching and leading programs for children and youth; program management; knowledge of stream ecology, waste management, water conservation and/or other outdoor specializations.Individual QualitiesExperience leading school-aged childrenStrong classroom management skillsEnthusiastic, outgoing and approachableInterest and understanding of environmental issues and environmental stewardshipExcellent communicator with strong interpersonal skillsSelf-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a teamOrganized and detail orientedCondition Of HireClean Criminal record reviewValid BC Drivers License + access to personal vehicle for work usePreference goes to those currently residing in the Fraser Valley/Metro Vancouver area of BCWork schedule8:00 am to 4:30 pm/Monday to Friday. 72 hours bi-weekly, with weekend and evening work when required.WageHourly, commensurate with experienceStart dateAugust 17, 2026 #J-18808-Ljbffr
