We provide a diverse range of roles across many locations and a career where you can make a meaningful impact.THE ROLE The Arena Superintendant plans, coordinates, manages, controls and evaluates the operations of the arena, recreation facilities such as playground, community garden and cottage, outdoor facilities such as rink, beach, sports field, tennis court, and skate park as required. They prepare, or oversee the preparation, of reports such as facility schedules, maintenance schedules, equipment logs, machinery and mechanical maintenance logs, staff and operations as required.
They will manage the maintenance of facilities and equipment and take corrective action as required, also ensure safety and enforce rules concerning conduct and use of equipment. They will coordinate and manage special events, while complying with the requirements of the NPF health and safety programs. They will also need to perform other related duties as assigned by their supervisor.QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED Education, Certifications and LicensesCollege diploma or certificate in Facility management, Resource management or related field AND some years of experience in a related fieldIce Maintenance & Equipment Operator Certificate (Provincial Designation or Equivalent)Ice Making Technology Certificate (Provincial Designation or Equivalent)Current CPR and basic First Aid qualificationsA valid driver's license (Province)ExperienceIn resource administrationIn operating an arena or similar facilityIn ice maintenance requirementsIn personnel administrationIn budget administrationIn the preparation, maintenance and operation of outdoor sports fieldsIn using software for word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, databases, e-mail, and Internet browsingCompetenciesClient focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation,
