Become a vital part of Halifax Harbour Bridges as a Maintenance Technician. This role involves maintaining critical infrastructure in a safety-sensitive position, accommodating a variety of equipment and challenges.
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, your responsibilities will include the operation, maintenance, and repair of bridge systems and property. You'll navigate both routine maintenance tasks and the unique demands of winter snow removal, ensuring compliance with safety policies. A strong background in construction and 2+ years of experience are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain and repair vehicles and equipment for HHB
• Operate snow removal machines and perform winter maintenance
• Conduct workplace safety inspections and checks




• Handle traffic control and lane management during repairs
• Participate in safety training and skill development
Requirements:
• Proven experience in maintenance or construction work
• Valid Class 3 NS and clean Class 5 Driver's Licenses
• Capability to pass physical and criminal checks
• Comfort working at heights and in confined spaces
• Robust organizational and customer service skills
