The City of Delta is seeking a Facility Service Worker to join their team, focusing on maintenance at recreational and civic facilities in the community. This position encompasses HVAC maintenance, swimming pool operations, and janitorial duties to support public service.
In this full time position, you will be responsible for general operations and maintenance work throughout North Delta, Ladner, and Tsawwassen. You will also oversee contractors, train staff, and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Your skills in building maintenance and effective supervision will help maintain facility standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems
• Inspect facilities and perform necessary repairs




• Supervise and schedule staff duties
• Provide training for new hires
• Maintain maintenance and inspection records
Requirements:
• Pool Operator Certificate – Level II
• Certification in refrigeration operation or equivalent
• Fifth-Class Power Engineer Certificate
• Class 5 BC driver’s licence
• Practical experience in facility management
