Become a Housing Support Worker with CMHA York Region in Aurora. This full-time position focuses on empowering individuals recovering from mental health issues within the Community Homes for Opportunity program.
As a Housing Support Worker, your role will emphasize collaboration and flexibility in assisting clients to secure and maintain housing. You will create tailored wellness plans and support community integration while ensuring clients have access to vital resources and financial management assistance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop individualized wellness plans for clients
• Aid clients in financial management and budgeting
• Encourage community engagement and integration
• Advocate for better resource access and availability
• Work alongside a multi-disciplinary team
Requirements:
• Degree or diploma in relevant fields
• Registration with Ontario College of Social Workers
• 4+ years experience in a community organization
• Preferred experience with responsible mental illnesses
• Valid driver’s license and insurance coverage
