Role Overview
CityKidz is seeking First Aid Attendant Volunteers to join our team! First Aid Attendant Volunteers are the instrumental force of love, comfort, and compassion, who assist children in our programs during vulnerable moments through empathetic care and basic level first aid support. First Aid Attendants have the opportunity to further develop leadership skills, while caring for children and ensuring their safety during CityKidz programs. As a First Aid Attendant, you will be the point person to assess and treat sick or injured children aged 6‑12 and/or volunteers.

Responsibilities
- Provide professional care to children and volunteers who require first aid attention,
assessing their condition and administering appropriate treatment based on your First Aid training
- Show love and concern for children in need of first aid attention, offering emotional support and reassurance during their time of need
- Complete First Aid Incident Reports for any children or volunteers whom you have provided care to, documenting the details of the incident and the care provided
- Ensure the first aid room is kept clean and disinfected between each person in need of care, maintaining a safe and sanitary setting
- Maintain an adequate inventory of first aid supplies, regularly checking stock levels and requesting additional supplies when needed to ensure availability for emergencies

Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum age 16+ (required)
- Current First Aid and CPR Level C (required)
- High level of professionalism, maturity, and care in supporting children (required)
- Experience working under pressure (preferred)
- Ability to work well under pressure, take initiative, and remain calm and focused during emergency situations
- Effective communication skills to support interaction with children, volunteers, and staff,
providing clear instructions and conveying empathy and support
- Good judgment, evaluation, and decision‑making skills to assess the severity of injuries or illnesses and determine appropriate courses of action
- Proficiency in maintaining records and logs, accurately documenting incidents and care provided for future reference

Time Commitment
- Minimum four‑month commitment is required, for at least once a month but preferably bi‑weekly Saturdays through March – June and September – December
- Shifts: 9:00 a.m.–11:00 a.m. or 12:30 p.m.–2:30 p.m.
