Elevate municipal finance through strategic insights as a Development Finance Advisor with the City of Brampton. This role focuses on development charge frameworks and compliance with legislative requirements.

In this full time position, you will report to the Manager of Capital and Development Finance. You’ll contribute to developing the City’s Development Charges By-law, manage various financial processes, and ensure the integration of provincial regulations within municipal strategies. Collaboration with external partners will play a key role in shaping effective public policies.

Key Responsibilities:



• Draft and review financial policies and agreements • Liaise with development community to address finance queries • Conduct financial analysis and scenario modeling • Support monitoring of regulatory trends in municipal finance • Prepare and present policy recommendations to leadership

Requirements: • Degree in Finance or Public Administration required • At least 3 years’ experience in public policy • Strong grasp of development finance legislation • Excellent analytical and presentation capabilities • Proven collaboration skills across departments
