NOC Job Code/Title: 44100 - Home Child Care Provider
The McLernon family household is seeking the assistance of one (1) Home Child Care Provider on a full-time bases to work in our private home in Calgary, Alberta. This position is a permanent full-time position and the median of language for this position is English. This IS NOT a live-in position.
Job Responsibilities:
- Supervise and care for children in a private home setting
- Bathe, dress and feed small children
- Plan, prepare and serve meals for children and sterilize bottles and prepare formula
- Shop for food and household supplies
- Manage and oversee meal planning and rest periods, as instructed by employer
- Maintain a safe and healthy and clean environment in the home
- Instruct children in personal hygiene and assist in their social and emotional development
- Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents
- Organize activities such as games and outings for children
- Take children to and from appointments and activities when required
- Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children
Education Requirements:
- Secondary education (high school)
- First-aid certificate
- Driver’s license and vehicle is an asset (gas and millage covered)
- vulnerable sector check
Experience requirements:
- Experience with childcare in a personal home setting
- 7 months to less than 1 year
Wage and hours:
This position is $21.00 per hour for 30-35 hours per week. This position is a permanent full time position.
