In this role, you’ll engage with shelter residents during evening and night shifts at our emergency shelter. The position involves maintaining a secure environment, conducting resident intakes, and providing support for hygiene and meal needs. Key Responsibilities:
• Establish a calming space for residents
• Perform intake and introduce shelter guidelines
• Conduct counts and monitor entrance access
• Prepare sleeping areas and communicate meal times
• Participate in staff meetings and share observations
Requirements:
• Minimum educational requirement of Grade 12
• At least one year working with at-risk populations
• Training in crisis intervention preferred
• Basic First Aid Certification
• Robust diplomacy and communication skills
