Join the City of Markham as a Martial Arts Instructor, delivering high-quality lessons in Tai Chi, Taekwondo, and Karate. Shape and inspire participants while fostering a protected and enjoyable atmosphere.
This temporary role requires your expertise in martial arts to lead evening and weekend classes for all ages. You will develop and submit lesson plans, supervise participants, and maintain program equipment to create an enriching environment. Emphasize safety and adherence to guidelines throughout your instructional sessions.
Key Responsibilities: • Lead martial arts programs focusing on Tai Chi, Taekwondo,
and Karate • Create tailored lesson plans recognizing diverse skill levels • Manage program equipment and inventory efficiently • Record attendance and assist participants with absences • Uphold safety regulations for all participants
Requirements: • High School Diploma; technical training in martial arts preferred • Minimum 3 years of instruction experience in martial arts • Current First Aid certification plus CPR • Strong leadership and customer service skills • Active member of Ontario Martial Arts Association
