RESOURCE TEACHER – STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT

BASIC FUNCTION The Resource Teacher – Student Achievement is a certificated, non-management position under the supervision of the Chief Academic Officer and/or h/her designee. The major areas of responsibilities under this position are coordinating efforts to improve learning and teaching as reflected in the District’s Comprehensive Education Achievement Plan.

REPRESENTIVE DUTIES

Designs, organizes, and presents professional development for all staff as it relates to student learning and achievement.

Conduct in-service training sessions for faculties, staffs, administrators, and parents.

Model lessons to enhance student learning.

Assist administrators and teachers in data-driven decision making.

Assist administrators in coordination of staff development activities.

Assist in planning, implementing, modifying and evaluating projects and programs.

Assist teachers and administrators in planning and developing current programs.





Assist in disseminating information and demonstrating cutting-edge staff development practices.

Assist in compiling information for year-end reports and evaluations.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Desirable Qualifications

- Academic
- A valid teaching credential
- Possession of appropriate certification for English Language Development,

such as, Cross-Cultural, Language, and Academic Development, (CLAD) certificate, California Teachers of English Learners (CTEL) certificate,

Language Development Specialist (LDS) certificate.

- Graduate training beyond the Bachelor’s Degree.
- Professional
- A minimum of five years successful teaching experience.
- Ability to speak effectively, write clearly, conduct group discussions, and communicate with parents, students and school personnel.
- Related Experience

Previous experience in providing and presenting staff development and in-service activities both as an individual and in collaboration with a team.
