About the role:
The Hospital strives to deliver care that is centred on patientsand families. Patient and Family Centred Care (PFCC)

Reporting to the Manager ‑ Radiation Therapy, the TreatmentPlanner provides patient treatment planning services for the Radiation Therapy Operational Network (RTON) usingdedicated computer systems and other specialized resources to produce optimal treatment plans.
Qualifications:
- * MRT(T) with CMRITO certification, or equivalent, from arecognized university
- * Minimum of two years of experience in computerized treatmentplanning with relevant systems preferred
- * Maintain a Dosimetry Certificate (CDC) credential from theCanadian Association of Medical Radiation
- * Technologists (CAMRT), a Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD)credential from the Medical Dosimetrist Certification
- * Board (MDCB) of the United States, or equivalent
- * Working knowledge of treatment planning techniques for externalbeam teletherapy and/or high dose rate
- * brachytherapy (HDRB)
- * Strong aptitude in three dimensional visualization, perception,and interpretation
- * Basic computer skills and familiarity with standard PC basedsoftware packages
- * Working knowledge of the principles of radiation protection andradiation safety
- * Working familiarity with human anatomy and established treatmentprotocols
- * Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with alllevels of staff in a multidisciplinary health care
- * Performance of duties with flexible work hours as required
- * Participation on TBRHSC or RTON committees as appropriate
- * Performance of other clinical service duties as assigned by theManager of Radiation Therapy
Salary Range: $41.476 to 56.583
