As an Apprentice Plumber / Gas Fitter, you’ll gain hands-on experience working alongside experiences Journeypersons, learning the trade while installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems.

What You’ll Do
- Assist with installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in both multi-family residential and commercial buildings
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings (2nd to 4th year)
- Troubleshoot plumbing issues and learn to diagnose system failures.
- Follow safety protocols and company procedures on job sites
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work area
- Attend required technical training and work towards Red Seal certification.
- Other duties as required
- Ability to adhere to company guidelines for installations, quality control procedures & maintaining our expectations for quality workmanship
- Required to complete Field Level Hazard Assessments daily
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills
- Registered apprentice with the Alberta Industry Training (AIT) or willing to register
- Previous plumbing or construction experience is an asset, but is not required
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools
- Willingness to learn and take direction
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and following regulations
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting and climbing
- Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS) Certification
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
Working Conditions This role is primarily conducted at construction or renovation sites, which may include both commercial and multi-family locations. Frequent travel to job sites within Calgary and surrounding area is required.
