Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced 2nd or 3rd-year Heavy Duty Truck and Transport Mechanic to join our maintenance team. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a fleet of heavy-duty trucks, industrial equipment, and specialized machinery. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical skills, familiarity with heavy equipment operation, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
This position offers an opportunity to develop technical expertise across various machinery types while ensuring safety and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on heavy-duty trucks, transport vehicles.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues using schematics and diagnostic tools.
- Conduct repairs involving engine systems, transmissions, brakes, steering components, and suspension systems.
- Operate power tools, hand tools, welding equipment, and other specialized machinery safely and effectively.
- Utilize dealership experience to service Caterpillar, excavator, crane, forklift, farm machinery, HVAC systems, and other heavy equipment.
- Read and interpret schematics for electrical and mechanical systems to facilitate accurate repairs.
- Perform heavy lifting tasks safely while adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs performed and parts used.
- Assist with assembly or installation of new equipment as needed.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies.
Experience
- 2nd or 3rd-year mechanic with hands-on experience in heavy-duty truck repair or industrial equipment.
- Familiarity electrical systems, and schematics.
- Proven ability to operate heavy equipment safely including industrial vehicles and machinery.
- Experience with automotive repair techniques using various power tools and hand tools.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and work in physically demanding environments.
- Customer service skills are a plus for interactions with internal teams or external clients. This position is ideal for skilled mechanics looking to advance their careers in a dynamic environment that values technical expertise and safety compliance.
Pay: $23.82-$46.27 per hour
