As a Design for Manufacturing Engineer with Silent-Aire, you'll play a vital role in ensuring product designs are cost-effective, safe, and production-ready. Collaborating closely with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality Engineering teams, your expertise will help reduce complexity and improve throughput for OEM equipment. Your impact will facilitate the transition to effective, rate-driven manufacturing systems.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead DFM reviews for equipment to ensure manufacturability
• Identify risks related to assembly sequence and tooling
• Drive design simplification and modularization initiatives
• Ensure ergonomic considerations are addressed in designs
• Participate in design reviews with accountability for outcomes
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
• 7+ years in manufacturing engineering or DFM roles
• Proficiency in PTC Creo 9 and knowledge of SAP
• Experience in releasing production-ready designs
• Strong communication skills to influence design decisions
