Food service supervisor
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
Work setting: Restaurant.
Tasks: Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food. Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures. Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards. Address customers' complaints or concerns. Prepare food order summaries for chef. Supervise and check assembly of trays. Supervise and check delivery of food trolleys. Establish work schedules.
Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses: First Aid Certificate. CPR Certificate. Serving It Right Certificate.
Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced setting. Standing for extended periods.
Personal suitability: Client focus. Excellent oral communication. Flexibility. Team player. Initiative.
Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years.
