RESPONSIBILITIES

- Assist in the installation of assemblies, such as flashing, pipes, tubes, heating and A/C ducts, furnace casings, etc. in accordance with building codes.
- Assist in metal fabrication based on required specifications.
- Assist in reading engineering and architectural drawings, sketches and work specifications to be performed, and lay out, measure and mark sheet metal according to drawings or templates.




- Assist in the development of patterns for sheet metal as required.
- Operate light metalworking machines.
- Ensure all work is performed in a safe, efficient manner and is compliant with all relevant legislation and standards.
- Housekeeping duties.
- Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

- Must be willing to enter into the Apprenticeship Program. Able to work efficiently and follow written and verbal instruction. Strong skills relating to reading, writing and document use. Must portray a pleasant and co-operative attitude, and take pride in the quality of your work. Heavy Lifting involved. Must possess a valid class 5 drivers license. Position is subject to Pioneer Co-ops Alcohol and Substance Policy as a condition of employment.
