Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of all equipment within our facility. This role requires a proactive approach to maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair, contributing to the overall efficiency and safety of our operations.

Responsibilities

- Perform routine maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and conduct repairs as necessary.
- Conduct inspections of equipment to identify potential problems before they occur.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance work performed and parts used.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures while performing maintenance duties.
- Assist in the installation of recent equipment as needed.

Requirements

- Completion of one of the following Ontario College of Trades Programs: Automotive Service Technician Program (310S) or Provincial/Territorial equivalent with Red Seal Endorsement (RSE); Truck and Coach Technician (310T)



or Provincial/Territorial equivalent with Red Seal Endorsement (RSE)
- Possess and maintain valid Driver's License
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Mechanic or similar role.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair various types of machinery.
- Ability to work on different manufactured engines (mainly Cummins and Detroit)
- Familiarity with electrical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Basic Computer knowledge in MS Office and maintenance software programs
- Willingness to work overtime if required.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
