Ross towing is seeking a Permanent Apprentice 310T Mechanic to join our team

You will work closely with your team to repair and maintenance of all company fleet equipment and vehicles. Whether you are just entering the trade or further in your 310T journey, you will work alongside licensed Journeymen to gain the skills required for full certification in a fast-paced environment focused on safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

- Mechanical Repair & Maintenance:
- Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck.
- Perform routine scheduled maintenance, including oil changes, lubrication, and fluid checks.
- Use power tools to complete assigned tasks and ensure all work is checked by a Licensed Technician.
- Diagnostics & Troubleshooting:
- Inspect mechanical units and motors in operation to locate faults and malfunctions.
- Use computerized diagnostic equipment and technology under supervision to monitor all repairs and maintenance.
- Review work orders and discuss findings with supervisors to determine whether to repair or replace units.
- Operational Excellence & Compliance:
- Apprentice Handbook:



Diligently record your hours and completed assignments to meet Skilled Trades Ontario requirements.
- Action & Safety: Take immediate action to correct unsafe or defective equipment with direction from a Licensed Tech.
- Communication: Coordinate with other departments regarding operational and non-operational vehicle status to assist with scheduling.
- Reporting: Complete detailed reports to record problems found and work performed.

Requirements & Qualifications

- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Registration: Currently registered (or eligible to register) as a 310T Apprentice with Skilled Trades Ontario.
- Certifications: Valid G Driver’s Licence and a clean Criminal Record Check.
- Physical Capabilities: Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Work Workplace: Ability to work on-site in dusty, dirty, and noisy conditions.
- Suitability: Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work independently or within a team.

Pay: $20.00-$33.00 per hour
