About The Role
PS Consulters is recruiting a dedicated accessibility testing specialist for engagements with Ontario public sector clients, beginning with the testing of a high-volume public-facing registration and booking platform. Accessibility in the Ontario public sector is a legal obligation under AODA and a contractual conformance requirement on public-facing systems, which means this work is specified, scheduled, and taken seriously: findings drive remediation sprints, and conformance evidence forms part of formal acceptance. The successful candidate will be the accessibility authority on the engagement: designing the audit approach, executing it with assistive technologies, and producing findings developers can fix without guesswork.
Beyond the initial engagement, PS Consulters embeds accessibility depth across its project delivery, so a specialist who performs well here becomes the standing accessibility lead across a growing portfolio of public sector work. The engagement is contracted hourly through PS Consulters at competitive market rates; applicants state rate expectations. A hybrid Greater Toronto Area arrangement is preferred for on-site testing sessions; remote delivery within Ontario is considered where the client permits.
Work is delivered in English. This is an anticipated contract role tied to an active public sector procurement. Start dates depend on award and onboarding timelines. Qualified applicants are contacted as soon as the engagement is confirmed, and strong profiles are kept on file and matched against similar upcoming roles with consent.
Applications are reviewed by a practitioner, not a keyword filter; short,
specific cover notes describing directly relevant work are read and valued. PS Consulters welcomes applications from all qualified candidates, including members of visible minority communities, Indigenous peoples, persons with disabilities, and newcomers to Canada with eligible work status. Accommodation during the recruitment process is available on request.
About PS Consulters: PS Consulters is the consulting brand of PMS Analytics, a Canadian software consulting and resourcing firm. PS Consulters places senior technology contractors with public sector and enterprise clients across Canada and delivers software projects as a prime contractor.
The firm is built and run by practitioners: engagements are scoped by people who have done the work, candidates are represented accurately, and consultants in the field are supported by a principal who reviews deliverables and stands behind them.

- Re-test fixes and maintain a clear conformance status the client can rely on
- Contribute to accessibility statements and formal conformance reporting
- Advise designers and developers on preventing defects upstream, not only finding them downstream

- Hands-on screen-reader proficiency with at least two of JAWS, NVDA, and VoiceOver

Qualifications
- Legally eligible to work in Canada: Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or valid work permit
