Role Description The Accountant at Seasons Property Management Canada is a full time, on-site role based in Toronto, ON. This position is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting tasks, including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, general ledger entries, and month-end and year-end closing activities.
The Accountant will prepare financial statements and reports, assist with budgeting and forecasting, and ensure timely recording of property-related revenues and expenses. The role includes monitoring cash flow, maintaining accurate records for multiple properties,
and supporting compliance with tax and regulatory requirements. The Accountant will collaborate with property managers and leadership to provide financial insights, respond to inquiries, and help optimize financial performance across the portfolio.
Qualifications
- Strong general accounting skills, including accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger management.
- Experience preparing financial statements, reports, and supporting month-end and year-end close processes.
- Proficiency with accounting software and property management or ERP systems; strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Knowledge of Canadian accounting standards, tax regulations, and compliance requirements relevant to property management.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple properties and deadlines.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with internal teams, clients, and external partners.
- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional designation (CPA or in progress) is an asset.
- Previous experience in real estate or property management accounting is preferred.
