Roads Labourer

The City of Iqaluit is looking for a Roads Labourer to join our team.

Position Details

- Department: Public Works
- Status: Full Time Permanent
- Rate of Pay: $31.61 per hour (40 hours a week)
- Settlement Allowance: $20,907.43 per annum
- Union Status: Unionized

Responsibilities

- Maintain the cleanliness, functionality, and safety of municipal infrastructure such as roads, sidewalks, and municipal grounds.
- Assist with road work, including culvert installation and drainage improvements.
- Provide traffic control during road maintenance activities.
- Support cemetery operations during burials.
- Work effectively in a team setting under varying weather conditions.

Qualifications





- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in municipal services, construction, public works, or manual labor is an asset.

Additional Requirements

- Indigenous language preferred.
- Criminal record check required for the position.
