We are looking for a dedicated Support Worker to provide essential assistance to families at The Carter House. Your primary responsibility will be supporting parents in recovery, enhancing their abilities to care for their children. You will also supervise children during culturally relevant activities, fostering a healing and structured environment. This role requires a deep understanding of trauma-informed care and community support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise daily routines and family activities
• Provide emotional guidance and practical support
• Promote culturally relevant learning experiences for children
• Document client behaviors and progress diligently
• Assist with health and safety measures
Requirements:
• Certification in Community Support Work or equivalent
• Experience working with families in crisis
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care practices
• Valid First Aid and CPR certification
• Clean criminal record and vulnerable sector clearance
Support families through challenging times and promote recovery in a nurturing setting.
