About MapYourProperty & Affordable360
Affordable360 is a nonprofit initiative helping community organizations overcome the early-stage barriers to developing affordable housing.
Through our cohort-based programs, we work directly with nonprofit organizations that are exploring or advancing multi-unit housing projects. We help organizations understand what can be built on their land, identify planning and development considerations, visualize potential housing solutions, and assess whether a project is financially viable.
We are looking for an early-career professional who is excited about affordable housing, planning, and working directly with nonprofit organizations to help turn housing ideas into viable projects.
About the Role The Affordable Housing Development Coordinator will support the delivery of our educational cohorts and early-stage housing development programs.
This is a hands-on role that combines planning research, site and development analysis, 3D design, preliminary cost estimating, program coordination, and direct communication with nonprofit housing organizations.
You will work closely with participating organizations to understand their sites and housing goals, conduct early-stage due diligence, help visualize potential development concepts, and communicate findings in a way that is clear and useful to non-technical audiences.
Training will be provided on our software, tools, and processes. However, a foundational understanding of urban planning, land use, zoning, or development processes is required.
This position is a strong fit for a recent graduate who wants to build practical experience in affordable housing development and gain exposure to planning, design, feasibility, and nonprofit housing delivery.

3D Design & Visualization
- Create preliminary 3D massing models using A360s design software
- Test different housing configurations and explore how they fit on a site
- Use planning findings to help identify how site constraints may affect the potential building design
- Prepare simple visuals to help nonprofit organizations understand and communicate their housing concepts
Cost & Feasibility
- Develop preliminary construction cost estimates using A360's tools and templates
- Gather basic project information and assumptions from participating organizations
- Support early-stage feasibility analysis and help identify key project considerations
- Communicate preliminary findings and assumptions clearly to participants
Cohort & Participant Support
- Work directly with nonprofit housing organizations throughout the A360 cohort
- Meet with participants to understand their sites, housing goals, and questions
- Support workshops, webinars, and other online learning activities
- Help coordinate networking and knowledge-sharing events
- Keep participant information, project work, and program activities organized and up to date
