Avalon Children’s Montessori School is looking for a responsible, caring, and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an After-School Care Supervisor starting in September 2026.

The successful candidate will supervise students ranging in age from 4 to 10 years old during our after-school program. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and is looking for a consistent, part-time position throughout the school year, working Monday to Friday from 3 to 6pm.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Supervise and engage students in a safe, positive, and welcoming environment.
- Ensure students follow school expectations and routines.
- Work collaboratively with other staff members.
- Be comfortable taking responsibility for the group independently at any time.
- Communicate professionally and positively with parents and caregivers during after school pick-up.
- Follow directions, school policies, and established procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment.
- Respond appropriately to minor incidents and emergencies and communicate concerns to administration as required.

Qualifications and requirements of the ideal candidate are as follows:
- Previous experience working with children, particularly ages 4–10.
- Warm, patient,



and engaging approach to working with children.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
- Able to follow instructions and established procedures.
- Comfortable working independently and taking appropriate responsibility when required.
- Professional and comfortable interacting with parents and caregivers.
- Able to commit to the position for the full school year - 3-6pm Mon to Fri
- A Vulnerable Sector Check will be required.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification is required.
