After School Teachers: 3:00 to 6:00pm

Wesley Christian Academy and Early Learning Centre

We are looking for RECE, OCT, Child & Youth Care Worker, Recreation & Leisure Services for our After School Programs.

We are a large Christian School and Childcare Centre with over 25 years of providing exceptional care and education to children from toddlers through to grade 8. - Positions to start September 2026 to June 2027 - Hours approximately 3:00pm to 6:00pm - Additional hours may be available in helping to fill in as supply when staff are away.

QUALIFICATIONS

- RECE -Member of the College of Early Childhood Educators in good standing. OCT in good standing with Ontario Teacher’s College and / or a diploma or degree for Child & Youth or Recreation & Leisure.
- Excellent communication both written and verbally. - Strong organizational skills, self-control, and sound judgment. - Current Standard First Aid and CPR Level C. - Current clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Scan. - Updated immunization report including a 2-step TB test and required immunizations. - - Plan to Protect Abuse Prevention Training is an asset.





Physical abilities: must have the ability to lift children up to 30 lbs. from floor to waist height. Be able to get down to children’s level and maintain eye contact. Responsibilities: - Planning and implementing a quality program for children 6 to 12 years old - Ensuring the supervision and safety of the children within the program. - Developing children’s curiosity and planning activities based on their interests - Creating positive relationships with co-workers, families and children. - Ability to interact with children in a positive manner and discuss daily events with families while supporting our Christian philosophy - Versatile; adapts easily to change

Pay: $20 - $25 per hour Monday to Friday
