Join the City of Burlington as a part-time Specialized Program Instructor. Lead technical theatre productions while mentoring youth in a dynamic and inclusive environment.
This instructor position focuses on supporting Burlington Student Theatre's production needs for children aged 4-17. Reporting to the Artistic Supervisor, you will handle the technical operations of productions and ensure a secure learning space. Evening and weekend hours are expected, arranging between 20 and 40 hours weekly based on needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Train and mentor student technicians and volunteers • Manage technical aspects of theatre productions • Establish production timelines and logistics • Direct backstage operations at performances and rehearsals • Work with creative teams to implement production ideas
Requirements: • Diploma or degree in Theatre Production or similar • At least 2 years in production management or technical roles • Proficient in production coordination and logistics • Ability to juggle multiple tasks with attention to detail • Required Standard First Aid and CPR-C or willingness to obtain
