Make an impact as a Nurse Practitioner specializing in Mental Health and Addictions at Kingston Health Sciences Centre. This full-time prospect focuses on patient-centered care within a supportive team environment.
As part of the Substance Treatment and Rehabilitation Team, you will utilize advanced nursing skills to assess and treat patients experiencing addiction challenges. This role requires a deep understanding of mental health, multidisciplinary collaboration, and autonomous decision-making in complex cases.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform rapid medical and mental health assessments • Coordinate care plans and collaborate with healthcare professionals • Educate clients on addiction treatment options and resources • Utilize evidence-based practices to improve client care outcomes • Lead initiatives in policy development and quality improvement
Requirements: • Registered Nurse in Extended Class with current Ontario registration • Master's or Doctoral degree with a clinical specialty • Two years experience in healthcare, particularly in Mental Health • Valid CPR and crisis intervention training certifications • Recent NP experience in an addictions setting preferred
