Capcorp Financial is seeking a motivated and innovative AI Software Development Intern - Internal tools / Co-op Student to join our growing team.

About the Role

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects that directly impact both our internal operations and client experience. Working alongside company leadership, you will help design, build, and improve AI-powered tools and automated solutions that drive efficiency, enhance decision-making, and create value for our clients.

A key part of the role will involve working with advanced AI models, where you'll learn how to design, test, refine, and optimize prompts to create practical business applications and automate workflows. You'll gain real-world experience using emerging technologies while developing valuable skills in AI development, prompt engineering, and intelligent process automation.

You will also contribute to the development and maintenance of web applications, AI-driven systems, and innovative technology solutions, helping transform ideas into tools that deliver measurable business results.

Position Responsibilities:

- Design, test, and optimize prompts for leading AI models and applications.
- Develop AI-powered tools and workflows that support business operations.
- Build and maintain web-based and automation applications using cutting edge LLM tools.
- Collaborate with leadership to identify opportunities for automation and innovation.
- Research how AI can be used to advance business applications and make recommendations.
- Monitor, evaluate, and improve the performance of AI solutions over time.
- Work directly with the people who use your tools – gathering feedback, iterating quickly, and continually ensuring the solutions you build match their needs
- Handle client and company data with care, meeting the security, privacy, and compliance standards of the financial services industry

Qualifications:

- 2nd year above – completed 2 years or more in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field. Equivalent experience demonstrated through personal projects, internships, or portfolio work will also be considered.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team-oriented team.




- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical colleagues and clients.
- A genuine curiosity about artificial intelligence and enthusiasm for applying technologies such as large language models, AI agents, and automation tools to solve real business problems.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and eager to take ownership of projects from concept to completion.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- A natural problem-solver who enjoys identifying opportunities to improve and optimize business processes.
- Strong attention to detail, particularly when testing, validating, and refining AI-generated outputs.
- An interest in learning new technologies and staying current with emerging trends in AI and software development.

Other desirable skills and abilities:

- Hands-on experience working with AI platforms, models, and APIs such as Microsoft Copilot Studio, Microsoft Power Platform, OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar technologies.
- Experience building web applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and at least one modern framework (React, Next.js, Vue, Angular, or equivalent).
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 development, Teams applications, Power Automate, or related Microsoft technologies is considered an asset.
- Bilingualism (English and French) is highly desirable
